Bentley Azure

The 2007 Bentley Azure is an open-top, four-seat luxury convertible first unveiled at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show. Based on the original Arnage Drophead Coupe concept prototype and partly related to the Azure line discontinued in 2002, the Bentley Azure features massive proportions and traditional good looks.

Convert Your Car To Burn WATER
Increase Gas Mileage and Reduce Tailpipe Emissions by running your car on water.

Despite the powerful engine, the $338,000 Bentley Azure sports a classic design and a restrained elegant demeanor on the road.

Only 400 of the Bentley Azure models are built each year and find their way to the mansions and collection garages of their rightfully royal owners.

Features

The Bentley Azure runs on a twin-turbocharged 6.8-liter V8 engine producing 450 bhp at 4100 rpm and a maximum 875 Nm of torque at only 1800 rpm. The Azure provides large amounts of torque even at low revs for effortless acceleration. It can run top speeds of 165 mph and gets from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. The transmission of the Bentley Azure is a 6-speed automatic gearbox with semi-automatic and sports options.

The Azure's all-steel monocoque body packs a fearfully hefty weight of 6,757 lbs., which wouldn't be a surprise when you watch its imposing figure measuring near 18-feet in length and 7-feet in width. Everything on the Bentley Azure is supported by a sport-oriented double-wishbone suspension and an extremely rigid body structure, including carbon-fiber cross braces under the floor providing additional stiffness, especially needed when the top is pulled back.

The Bentley Azure features a retractable hydraulic, three-layer, insulated fabric top that folds out of sight in about 30 seconds. The conservatively-styled wheels come in bespoked 19-inch painted version and are offered in varying styles. Optional chrome wheels upgrade of the designs are available. Chrome-trims line the bumper, sills and the whole body for a truly luxurious look.

Like most of Bentley's models, the interior is fully customizable on the Azure. Security is highly prioritized as with other Bentleys, including roll-over protection for the rear seats. The cabin of the Azure features chrome-finishes, improved ergonomics via secondary controls, and natural wood veneer panels. Warm and inviting premium grade 'A' hide upholstery extend beyond the seats to the parcel shelf, creating a very distinct look. The dash features a driver information panel with trip computer, along with a 6-CD changer sound system and a whole lot of class.

On The Road

There is no mistaking that the Bentley Azure, while powerful in speed and performance, is intended for luxury driving by the affluent among us. Estimated buyers for the vehicle are individuals worth at a minimum of $30 million.

The Bentley Azure drives the same way it looks - regal and classy. The Azure is kept quiet by the low revs needed for high performance, the steering is controlled and deliberate, and it doesn't respond instantly to every minute input it detects. Bumps and side-winds are hardly felt. The electronic driving aids do a lot of work, as they should, and ensure that the car remains a luxury drive.

The canvas top is surprisingly effective, allowing little distraction once installed. Once off, the vehicle's quiet nature serves to allow audible conversation flawlessly. Even with the roof safely tucked, it still allows 8.8 cubic feet of cargo space.

The Bentley Azure is more than a car. It is a reward and a statement for those who can afford it.
